We continue to work on a song idea for a film soundtrack.

Building a song from a random idea

This song is actually an idea that we came up with during another live stream songwriting session.

We decided to use this as the main theme for the film soundtrack that we've been working on.

I had a hypnotic keyboard part I was messing around with.

I wanted to try it out with the band to see if we could come up with anything for it that we might be able to use for a song.

We gave this song idea a random name called "Slippery Friction" and decided to build on it.

It was Tom playing a part on the keys using the clav sound, Cliff played bass and Rob just started doing a beat.

One of the things I wanted to try was something that sounded like the soundtrack for the 1983 movie Rumble Fish.

We have been working on a song idea that we came up with during a live-stream songwriting session.

We just turn on the camera and try out new ideas and see what we come up with.

Hey Ocarina (Live Stream Clip)

Sometimes to come up with an idea I just look for a sound on my keyboard by just spinning the dial it has to scroll through sounds and use what it lands on.

What if we tried an Ocarina sound?

This time it landed on the Ocarina sound. 

I only know the Ocarina from the Legend of Zelda game Ocarina of Time.

On a previous live stream songwriting session, we came up with a song we tentatively called Slippery Friction.
