Despite the "trust the science" mantra during the current pandemic, everyone should expect to see the data, all of it, minus any selective gloss. Who pays and for what makes a difference.
School closures lead to significant and persistent productivity losses, and the effects will peak in 2067. Policies aimed at improving the quality of education and adult training will be needed to offset or at least alleviate the impact of the pandemic on human capital.
